Native Instruments Reaktor is modular real-time software for Mac & PC for synthesis, sampling and effects processing.

The Wizoo Pro Guide to Reaktor 3 is the perfect compliment to the Reaktor 3 manual. It has explanations about sound synthesis, sampling and sequencing plus step by step guides to building more complex sound machines.

Included with the book is a CD-ROM with a folder full of Reaktor Ensembles, Instruments and Macros as described in the book and for use in the examples. Some of the Ensembles are tricked out versions of Native Instruments Reaktor factory Ensembles with extended features included.

The book starts with an explanation of installation and an overview of the program and the various elements such as Ensembles, Control Panels and Structure.

Next follows a look at some of the Ensembles that come with Reaktor, with descriptions and insights as to how they work. The Wizoo Guide then walks you through "Building A Synthesizer" along with "Enhancements", "Odds and Ends" and "Variations on a Theme" allowing further steps to customize and improve the basic Ensembles.

The same course is followed for building a Sampler and Sequencer, as well as "Filters and Other Effects".

All in all it is very fun to learn about the ins and outs of working with Reaktor. The examples on the CD-ROM make it fun to follow along with the book.
